This was 'insider' joke, 514 was also one of the cornerstone productions companies in Montreal, responsible for successfully operating Sona Afterhours for about 6 years and for throwing parties such as Cream, Swirl, Celebration, etc. etc. They were totally not associated with Stereo, much more like their sworn enemies. Actually the 1st Cream was at the Olympic Stadium. 1997. there were few others there, as well as one or two Swirls, and of course numerous Black & Blues.

Ive done LOTS of 4 hours sets at salons, pubs, etc... after the first 1-2 hours the time FLYS by and you really get into a good flowing groove :)

Not a fan of the average 1 hour set.

always been a proponent on the 1.5 hour set minumum.

1/2 hour or 45 minute sets just seem almost pointless

What I ment by '514-style' is that extra-special-ness where one can dance and dance until ungodly hours to some of the nicest shizz... and I do miss being able to skip the all night party and wake up at 5ish am to head to Stereo to catch the morning sesh... the till-10AM or 12AM part... when the music get better, imo...



Longest set Ive done here in Kelowna is 8 hrs. Restaurant shareholders & young golf addicts who like house music! Rooftop patio overlooking lake okanagan. pretty dam nice.

Back home, it was 6 hrs... one of those morning house to minimal seshs for peep who just didnt want to go home... Loft party stylez.
