anymore than 4 or 5 on a cd & it gets confusing. unless you've got a completely pre-planned set burned to 2 or 3 cd's.

for a show: only one or two tracks to a CD so i don't screw up and mix in the wrong tune. lol.

for home: full cd's.

With the MK3's and MK2's (1000's) you can burn straight MP3's to a CD and technically have 20+ tracks on one CD. I've done that a couple of times when I've been in a rush - with the digital text read out, you just have to be sure you've labeled your tracks. -- I do this aften with vocals/accapellas so I can cycle/switch quickly on the fly.

For the most part though, 2-3 tracks per CD. On the physical CD sometimes I may even note BMP or if it's a chill, mid-tempo or primetime track.

Im thinking Im going to do like 3-5 tracks to a CD. Saves space (I dont like carrying around huge ass cd wallets) and saves on CDs.

But I dunno for sure yet.

fill the cds , 8-9 tracks per cd. Print out tracklisting which slides in same slip as cd. You get much more variety of tracks to play.

I fill up the cd... 8-10 tracks a cd and than make a 2nd copy so you dont have to worry about playing 2 tracks off the same cd one after an other/same time.
Example would be "House Feb. A" and "House Feb. B" This helps save the amount of cd's you use and the amount of space you use in your case.

Since I collect a wide range of house styles I like to group the same styles on the same cd. Example ill usually group them by "House", "Deep", or "Tribal/Prog". And of course I print out the track listing on paper and keep it with the cd int he case.

Im very visual so I also color code my my printed track listings and highlight favorites with a highlighter (they really stand out under a black light :D).

Yeah I usually put around 10 tracks to a CD......and make a second copy if I think i will wanna mix the same tracks

I used to burn MP3 CDs with like 100 songs on them, with folders organizing genres and stuff, but i've come across CDJs and certain CD players that arent MP3 compatible so it can be disastrous if you arrive at a gig with no playable CDs.

Ive been finding that I'm burning single tracks with all the remixes onto one CD.
And for the most part, I'm putting 3-4 tracks togeather.
But latley Ive been finding really awsome tracks, that I don't want to group togeather, so Ive been just burning 1 track to a CD. Taking up a lot of my CD's lol!

usually 2-5 on a cd...
i have some that have 1 track, and some that have 10.
in any case i label the names of tracks on the actual cd front.
its works for me perfectly. just dont use anything other than a black sharpie, or printed label stickers, cuz u just wont be able to see under some club lights.

Yeah I do the same. I just use a think black sharpie and write the track name nice and think on the front so I don't have to squint to read when I'm playing. Works great!
