hmm there was a post about this awhile ago..
its pretty pricey.. for a dub plate its like $50-$60 or somethin and it only lasts about 50 plays and vinyl.. im pretty sure you need to get a fairly large quantity.. ask timreezo.. he looked into it awhile back... |

dubplates-$35 US for 1 dubplate... 11 mins of music can be printed on each side of the record....
The longer each side, the less quality the record is... Shorter = better quality.. to get something pressed onto vinyl you gotta get plates made up for it.. Costs like 300-400 to get the plates made and after that like a $1 per record.. But since most places dont let you just go and do that you have to make minimum orders at about 1000 min... Some places cost like $4000 for 1000 records... I dont know of any place to get one off but i can find out. I have a number for 1 place out in Florida but never found the details for it... The Dubplate cutter company is located right undernegth us around Portland.. |
