because techs are just what cool djs use, man, like international superstar djs... who cares if you can correct pitch shifting so it's incredibly easy to mix melodic and harmonic phrases and patterns, REAL DJS USE TECHS.

this table has more features than an tech 12

1: 78 rpm
2: Dual??? pitch controls
3: a variety of pitches

there's more

but the tech 12's simply have torque... thats it... just torque and 33, 45 rpm.. but the pitch control only goes up to -/+8

I've been using gemini's since i've been djing and i've never had a problem with them... not even a torque problem.. Everyone that says "tech's are the best" Is full of shit... Never used gemini's before just agree to the word on the street.

If anything playing at a party with techs... mixing is easier.

I preffer gemini's any day... cheaper too.

i heard the torque on these new geminis are really heavy... but damn i'd LOVE to test out the tone matching controls.... oh man if they really do work shit the possibilities are just so much bigger.....

and with the 78 rpm on the analogue meduim, you could still make the music sound normal but on a completely differnt rpm mode.... well possibly who knows.... i wanna check this turntable out...

This would be advantageous to trance mixing for sure, because you could match the keys of any records as well as matching the bpms. You have more possibilities, but seriously, if you know your music at all then you should have no problem constructing sets that work musically.

Um, no. I've used Geminis, Numarks, and other tables. They're not as good. If you happen to like them more then good for you.

Its all about RELIABILITY!!

and tech 12's outlast anybody!!!

10 year old decks play just as well as brand new ones where as gemini's and vestax break down ...trust me.

~there is a reason everybody uses them!!~:keebler:

The difference between pitch control and tempo control is that with pitch control the whole record speed increases or decreases thus shifting the pitch and causing notes and harmonies to distort slightly, either higher or lower. Tempo adjust would make the speed of the sounds increase or decrease while leaving the notes and harmonies exactly the way they were composed. You can see how these two tools could be used in conjunction with one and other to create a musically harmonious set.
