classic mixtapes, liveset mp3s you've enjoyed

mine definetly has to be

Seb Fontaine - Live at Creamfields 99
Ed Rush and Optical w/ Skibadee, Shabba d (FUCKIN BEST MC EVER!), IC3 (i thinks thats his voice later on the mix) - Live at One Nation 6th Birthday 99 (PROBABLY MY ALL TIME FAVORITE)
Kenny Ken & Stevie Hyper D - Live @ Mach 1
Dieselboy @ Ultimate
Dieselboy Live at Sutpens Jungle
Paul Van Dyk live at Mayday 2000
Ferry Cortsen live at Hyperstate 2000
Tiesto Live at Energy 2000
Judge Jules and Paul Van Dyk live at Gallery Turnmills 1999

ohhh hehehe now looking at this list it reminds me how i used to organize my live set mp3 collection and these were the ones i ALWAYS listened to!! hahaha good times =)

my all time favorite has to goto the one nation set with ed rush and optical, the realest mix with DOPE mixing, DOPE TRACK SELECTION!! and AWESOME MCING TO TOP IT OFF!! starts off fuckin classic trace track move... oh i love that track...moves onto bad company the nine later on in the mix... damn first time i heard the nine i was blown away..... its the best track ever to dance to!! ive honestly heard it every other party went to and everytime i heard it i loved it! but anyways skibadee starts things off on the mic. hes a dope mc but i honestly think shabba is the greatest mc ever (tied with fearless)!! this was golden time for drumnbass mcs..... the art of partyrocking! damn!!
but the tracks in this mix... wow.... dj reality - detroit blues, dillinja - nastywayz (WITH SHABBA JUST RIPPIN IT ON THE MIC!!), bad company - 4 days, roni size - snapshot, trace - sniper...... CLASSIC!!

werd.... lets hear some alla yours =)

i support local talent...
these aren't mp3s but..

I cherish my:
Czech - hooked on phonics tape ( I have the mp3 as well)
slim - dnb mixed tape (I have most of the songs on mp3 as well)slim - hot shit
as well as other mixes, but these are the only ones i'd consider 'classic'

hehe i'm listening to this ed rush n optical set again.... all the producers featured in this mix.... trace, future cut, konflict, usual suspects, moving fusion, ram trilogy, roni size, bad company, dillinja... oh they fully ruled the scene in back when i was into drumnbass in 99.... their stuff is SO different now =p especially usual suspects, roni size and even bad company!

hehe just look at where drumnbass has come to within 3 years!! ...... its so different! =p

I know what you mean.. at work someone brought in a bunch of old total science and bad company (etc....) tapes..
I like dnb now, and did like it then, but dnb then and dnb now just don't compare....
when i listen to the old tapes I completely understand why so many ppl call it 'noise'.... o

oh common =p haha actually well bad company and total science arnt that great djs in the first place. theyre AMAZING producers but definetly not the best djs. hehe theres some seriously amazing drumnbass mixes couple of years ago but what actually made drumnbass SOOO dope before were the MC's... no doubt. jungle just didnt sound right without an mc! the dope thing about mcs before was that the mcs KNEW HOW TO SPICE UP A SONG!!!

nowdays mcs just ruin the song... mainly because drumnbass has evolved to a point where it just does not need an mc

but i loved listening to fearless and shabba d just RIP IT UP!! i didnt start to appreciate skibadee till i saw him live.. hes more of a performer than an artist i'd say... he knows how to get a party go fuckin buckwild but shabba d and fearless are FUN to sit back chill and listen to.... damn they can rhyme so tight and fast!! haha... ah mcs are just fully dead. oh well lotta mcs just sound like theyre screaming and fully outta control... i wish i could get a fuckin bat and smack those fuckers shut the FUCK UP!!! mcs need to learn their music and practice making the songs sound better...

haha well bad music is always noise isnt it? =) maybe this guy who has been bringing in music wasnt bringing the right stuff? :toasted:

It has to be Raiden, i dont think hes spun out for years though. His old tape called Fusion is one of the best old drum and bass tapes ive heard, very tight tunes.
