Really sick of house

I love house and shizat. But dam I'm really getting bored of the Van club scene when It comes to tunes. How many clubs do we need playing the same old coke up 30 somthing model/model fucking house. I'm sick of it! Bring on the Harder shite NOW!

word..but alot of that variety of house is uninspirating...i crave the jazzier, soulfull house that leanne plays, compared to te more progressive stuff that often gets played at the drink.

i also crave a healthy dose of funk...i hear clockwork is doing a versus battle with czech at one of his nights. i want to get a date on that cuz thats something id really like to see.

I went to the drink for 2 months straight and loved the music,,, then honestly I got very bored with it. Not that the music isn't good,,, it's just always the same.

Yeah theres really only 2 major styles of house that gets played in clubs in Vancouver(west coast tech and deep house)... I mean I love house but with all the house nights in vancouver we definately need more variation

Prog is setting up to take off bigtime in this city, give it another year. Hopefully by the summer a night like Tactical will get a Friday or Saturday, and if it does it'll be huge, guaranteed.

If you want something out of the ordinary and quite an experience, check out 23 Cordova on Fridays for Goa/Psy Trance, Cheeky Wednesdays sometimes has some harder stuff in the attic,.. or hunt down parties.. most now are in the summer though

If you like Techno, come to Sonar Nov 12th for DJ C1, he's wicked 3 turntable stuff + it's Sean's bday I heard :P

I kinda agree with patticus, if u say house it can convey deep/disco/tech/tribal/whatever house, but noone ever refers to hardhouse as "house". Personally Ive come to think of hardhouse as a different genre altogether, even tho its technically house, kinda in the same way I percieve progressive.

^Yeah just like theyre all music. Even tho i feel over-categorizing music sucks, its necessary for the sake of convenience. I mean I love Djs who blur the boundaries of genres and not just sticking to tech house for example, but I also like to have some idea of what Im going to hear and when someone spins or when i look for records to buy. Most(but not all) house DJs dont spin hardhouse, because hardhouse is more often than not a very different sound than other forms of house, thats why I consider hardhouse a seperate genre.
