For those of you that missed grabbing her set you can grab it at ftp://154.5.124.229
It gets turned off when I go to bed. |

k, I listened to the set, it's really good, but one thing you really need to work on is your levelling on the mixes. The beatmatching is perfect throughout, but in pretty much every one of your mixes there's a good 20-30 second window where the volume is at about 75% of what it should be, and then you'll crank the new track up to 100% again and it sounds pretty choppy. This is probably the most difficult thing to master when recording sets, and was something I had a lot of trouble with when I first started making demos. Keep your eye on the levels of the mixer all throughout your mixing, and make sure it's at exactly the same DB all throughout.
Other than that, good work. Oh yeah, for some of the mixes I'd try to make them at least 30 or so seconds longer. The mix into the new track is always smooth and good, but you're too hasty at cutting the previous track out, let it play out a little longer. |

I noticed that, I do the same thing though... It's a pain in the ass to get the levels right, espiecally if you have a bad mixer..... Mine only displays the current db's. It's easy to fix up while live, but on a recording... Whew, i thought someone was going to get all up tight. I wrote a long review, cause she spent a lot of time on it, and deserves more then people just saying it's dope. |
