yeck. girley dnb is only tolerable in the smallest doses. it'll do the kid some good to listen to heavier drum and bass- it'll put some hair on his chest.

well, they're not exactly old school either. but i wasn't calling them new. or your taste in d'n'b. mostly just your opinion. it kind of sounds like the opinion of someone who discovered d'n'b post neurofunk.
i'm not saying hard d'n'b sucks. i like good hard d'n'b. my point is that d'n'b has always been about diversity and pushing the envelope not reeses and amens. if you think producers that make musical/chill/girly d'n'b are fags (so to speak) then you need to scratch off people like ltj, goldie, jonny l, teebee, doc scott, roni size, krust, adam f, andy c, j magik, klute, photek, etc, etc, etc. from your list. and i feel that if one only listens to one style of d'n'b that they are doing themselves and d'n'b a disservice. but you'll like what you like. |

aw man. yer taking me waaaay too seriously on here. Im just trying to ruffle your feathers! its my fnk purpose.
if you read my post you'd see I say that the "girly dnb is only good in small doses".... which means I do enjoy it and respect it. but not quite as much as the darker more abnoxious breed of dnb. my honest opinion... is that ALL edm is best served in small doses. The dj's I pay most attention to are mash-up geniuses like Dj Z-Trip and DK who cover a blend of all different types of edm genres(and sub-genres), plus many other types of music like rock, funk, soul, classic hip-hop etc. |
