hybrid...

how can you classifiy their music other then just good...are they big beat i dunno. but their production is insane, definite quality..i wonder how much they cost to book. probably lots

also how would you classify these other groups music?
future sound of london-they produce some fucked up shit, i have their dead cities cd, i can't describe it other then good, in a wierd creepy way.
The Orb-yeah good shit
Rabbit in the moon-wierd airy/trancy breaks, fucked up but in a very good way.
Fluke-mutha fuckin atom bomb, 26 megaton.
there was tons of other groups that i can't figure out but i forgot who they are..heh sketchcase. but ive noticed all these producers aren't in easily definded categories like breaks or jungle or house, most have break beats in their tracks so im saying big beat.

i consider hybrid as a mix of progressive and breaks. leaning mroe towards breaks. but yeah, their produciotn is way up there. just listen to ho wevery single sound is soooo refined. there have been complaints that their music is too technically perfect. Me NOT being one of em, but I see where they're coming from

agree on the progressive breaks :)

Hybrid has some tracks in the works where the melody will be done completely by percussion instruments and the rhythm section will be played by traditional melody instruments...thats going to be some cool shit.....Hybrid is 3 guys, their live pa show is somewhere around the $15000 mark if i remember correctly...but you can also just book one of them to dj....my choice would be their percussionist...he's the one responsible for all those sweet beats.

er i think its just two guys mike truman and someone else unless you include their sound engineer?

anyways' their first delving into 4/4 with the latest release (feat. on GU023) Gravastar / Celebrity Science

they would be absolutely MONSTROUS live i have some mixes of theirs.

they are definitely at the forefront of the prog industry. anything they touch warrants a listen
