You know, I won't disagree with this, but that's really just because most music in general is lame and shitty sounding.

That's why you look for DJs who know how to weed out the shitty stuff and just provide you with the golden tracks. This is what the Beardo scene is doing IMHO - finding the old tracks that aren't completely dated and bringing them to the new generation, fused with new music that's strongly influenced by the italo/electro boogie era.
