I am a huge Lorin follower... I have all the respect in the world for him and his craft. As nice as it was to see him do his thing on Friday... i wish could have heard him as well... I will never go back to the Plaza for another show.

Lorin... wish I could have followed you to Wistler or Nelson to catch you at a real venue.

The sound at The Plaza is reknowned as some of the best sound in Vancouver.

The general response from most major touring acts is how good it sounds, in here.

I could always compile a list if you like.

I think you'll be hardpressed to find anything that even compares in Whistler or Nelson.

Not here to argue about your tech savy indepth knowledge of Vancouver Sound systems, or your oversimplified assinine steriotyping of "hippies and hoolahoops" guys.

Simple fact is...

I've seen Lorin drop heavy baselines in at least 10 diferent venues.

Never once have I heard that shit comin outta the supposed "system"
It's quite possibe that I caught Plaza sound manager on hollidays here, but it was so bad... I'd rather risk my nights out based on the sound I've heard in other venues.

Except Shambles... nothing I've heard in Canada and in the US touches the sound system and engineers specifically at the Fractal Forrest... that stage is perfectly designed for acoustics!

seems that if history has the plaza on point with sound... I'll have to check out the next show that peeks my interest.

word this is a great venue with fantastic sound. It's too bad that the lorin show wasn't up to par, but every show I've caught at the plaza was stand-up. I wouldn't turn my back on one of the best venues in van because of one show.
