thanx tim... now that i've heard those 2 words i've got my dex set up nicely
lol fuck this is ruff i was told to make it so the arm is horizontal... so basicall floating equally then setting th dial on the weith to 3 (which i don't get wtf that does when it's not changing the weight put down on the arm) and i ended up with a needled that didn't touch the record |

protractor = a lil indicator that you buy that aligns a cartridge properly with the table
then yes the arm you adjust the height so that it's level with the cartridge the counter weight i'm not too sure... once u adjust the height make the counter weight so it's floating with the cartridge then i'm not sure bout the counters either..... you move em to like 0.5 counter clockwise or something ...... then whatever you moved that you move the anti skip to.......... not sure about that part.... |

what you want.
-tone arm parallel to record surface (adjust height ring on 1200) -cartridge counterweight set based on what you are doing: -recording a mix=lightest -fucking around at home (beatmatching)=light -fucking around at home (scratching) as heavy as you need to not skip) -in a club/at a party=heavier to compensate for bass vibration -anti-skating=go buy a one sided record if you don't got one, drop the needle on the grooveless side. if the cartridge is lined up correctly on the tone-arm, and the antiskate is set correctly then the needle should move in to the middle of the blank side and stay there... |
