Burning a mix to CD question.

Ok so now I have a mix that I'm somewhat happy with.. How do I burn it to CD in a way so that when it's listened to you can choose which track number to play if/when wanted to..? (I used garageband '08 to record it)
... so the player doesn't think it's just one track, know what i mean.
B

you need to make what's called a cue sheet. Google around or check garageband's help to find out if it's something it can do or if you need different software.

Global will become famous soon enough
Or just take the whole audio track, highlight the section that is going to be track one and bouce that. Then do the same for each region you want as a track, throwing them all into a folder and naming them accordingly. You should wind up with a folder that has...Track-1, Track-2, ect.
Then load 'em into you burner and erase the 2 second track gaps that burning software always throws in and presto...mix.
Cue sheets are easier but if that doesn't work for ya this always will.

I dunno about OSX, but I know in some cd recording programs you also need to set it to burn as "disk at once" or "session at once". If this mode is not used, even if you clear out the 2-second gaps, there will still be a split-second gap between each track. Mac software may fix this automagically but if you run into those problems look for something like that.

yeah, i was wondering about doing it this way, splitting the sections.... etc.. but what is bounce? it asked me once before, I don't know the exact wording, but it asked me to find another point to bounce it from because the track exceeded it's 2GB limit... something like that.. I ended up just erasing that 'session'..
