99% of people making rap/hip hop/and assorted other electronic genres make a living by "stealin' beats" what are you, new? |

the way i see it the stealing beats issue is just like in ancient japan the haiku was most respectful when it included a line from the haiku of an older more respected poet...when the old line blended into the new poem it was carried forward...no hatin necessary

Wow. J Lo is a bitch.
I once heard vanilla ice's excuse for biting the u2 beat for ice ice baby and he said now the difference is in the u2 track the bassline goes "dum dum dum dum dada dum dum" and in my beat it goes "dum dum dum dum du du dum dum" Make a long story short he lost his courtle battle with the rights of that and is proobably still paying u2 royalties. |

beatnuts were choked because she sampled their shit without gettin props...
but the beatnuts version is a modified sample of some other old song, j. lo just didnt change it at all..thats why they're choked, even though it wasnt theres to begin with. |

if i had a hot #1 song, and someone stole the beat from it to try and make another #1 song, i'd be choked.
it's not the point it wasn't thiers in the first place, beatnuts adapted it from another form of music, looped it, and made it thier own. j-lo's production team just bit it. poourns. |

anyways, its just one of the many reasons why i hate some of the rap songs today... they need to try harder to come up with some of their own tunes.. puffy and shaggy are the worst john 2899131 |
