Nope, they've all gone back east or down to Seattle.

Basically the closest you'll find around here is hard techno, and even those show are insanely rare.

- Kenny Glasgow @ Signal
- Soundproof party @ The Cheeze (UBC) featuring Evan Jones, Miss Innocent and Chris Singer (other played there but those were the acts that stood out for me)

cool. but personally I wouldn't consider any of those artists as hard techno.

I was thinking more of artists like ...
DJ Rush
Surgeon
Space Djz
Umek
Joey Beltram etc ...

maybe that stuff is too hard for Vancouver lol

Dr. Doom can only hope to improve
If Doom had money, time and an audience he would totally throw hardcore parties again.

Glasgow's set was a mix of all kinds of techno, but it definitely went into the harder side later on, practically verging on hardcore.

Evan Jones was a lot more proggy, wouldn't so much say it was that hard. Chris Singer was playing techno/electro, kinda reminiscent of Male Model Machine's banging techno (RIP MMM).

Miss Innocent on the other has always been one of Vancouver's staples of banging hard techno, playing Plastikman/Speedy J/Beltram/etc. type techno music. If you don't consider her hard techno then I can only deduce that you've never seen her play.

Doom doesn't/didn't care if people watch him, but he's pretty sure that anybody else playing would.
