favorite local (past & present)
linds and i were just chatting about old parties and we got on the topic of who our favorite locals were
i remember mine was Khan for his fluffy trance, until i fell en amour with Illy's dnb :) now it's astroglide for his cuteness and his hhc :) how about you? *huggles* nathaniel kristofer |

Deliverance (Jeremie)... and I am not saying that because he is a good friend.
His mixing is tight... I would honestly say the best on the Twisted label. Knows his stuff about music too. Sheeeeeeeeiiiiit I miss hearing that guy at parties! As far as present... wow... my hat goes out to so many people in this local scene... TONS of talent here. Hell, look at Christian Alvarez and Dave Armstrong alone. These guys are signed to multiple international recording labels and not given half the credit they deserve! |

I agree with Kraig... deliverance is one of my fave not-so-local locals.
But my all time fave was Shockwave and his banging NuNRG. Music was one thing but watching the guy bang it up behind the decks was rad. he always knew how to get a party pumped as hell..... anyone remember ravers of the lost ark????? |

Hear's one from the past.......anybody feelin' DJ Glow
he used to play back in the mitchell Island dayz. I wouldn't be spinnin jungle right now if it wasn't for this kid Too bad he stopped playing out to go to school 'cause he was ILL |

I'd say right now though I gotta give Manos filp filpbidy fingers One some props. I just don't get half the shit he does......I mean I'm watching his fingers and listening to what's coming out of the speakers and it just doesn't seem to make sense some how.

hummmmm, some of my faves would be f&k, and montanna and res by far :c-tard:
but plaza wise, azim always puts on a soild set I dont mind a little main room in the morning, czech sometimes knocks me on my ass with a rippin set! for past I would have to say hands down scotty-oh's stuff from a few years back, pushin 2 maybe... litte speedgarage, trance, ohhh it was good. then again when was the last recent time he spun anywhere? none that I kno of! my fave local set tho from all of last year would have to be lex'es morin set after slinky.. 80's remixes, phat beats, and just a smooth easy going ear delight sorta breaks set that I only wish I could hear one more time.. fantastic! there are some awesome locals here in vancouver, and my few are only a scraping off the massive ball of talent we have in this city! I could list 30+ dj's I know who have keep me in 2 hour tances, so like I only wish I had the attention span to sit here and list them all! -myles |

breaks the usuals vinyl richie, czech, precise and i have to mention lenny ford too, cat puts it down. theres alot of good breaks djs in this city but they don't get the recognition they deserve. as for dnb theres alot i have to mention..emm link, wood, dabbler, manos all play awesome sets every single time i see them, matty, and jay-auto put it down aswell, and i can't forget K-pryde as he puts it down every single time, and mechwarrior deserves honourable mention even tho ive heard him once live before. ..the rest are trashy dj's that only are popular becasue of insta-junglists who do too many drugs and have shitty outdated tastes in music...save for a few exceptions. basicly im down with every dj that keeps up with their tunes and has some what of a unique style, to all these other dj's your time is limited make best use of it before even the junkies realize you suck.
