Sugarhill Gang - Rapper's Delight

Not to mention Bambaataa and all the other Electro producers that had a significant influence on hip-hop.

And I would say that the oldschool hip-hop and rap a la Grandmaster Flash had a couple billion times more merit than the gangsta rap of the 90s, message-wise.
