This is the ELETE of all that are computer programs, REASON by Propellerheads is one of the most in depth, creative, wicked programs I have EVER had the pleasure to work with. I only wish I knew more.. I NEED MORE KNOLODGE!

I mean im here just skimming the BASICS of drum/snare sounds, and playing more then anything with sounds, nobs, and switches. BUT ITS MORE FUN THEN CS! Like the possibilities. So as I sit here with my headphones on, listening to the same 4 bars over and over I cant help but LOVE it cuz I MADE IT!!

Breakdown for anyone who DOESNT have a clue what im talking about, its the basic program to make any beak do next to anything possible... more?

Synthesizers, samplers, drum machine, ReCycle-based loop player, mixer, effects, pattern sequencer and more. As many of each as your computer can handle. Reason is an infinitely expandable music workstation on a CD-ROM, complete with its own realtime sequencer.

SADLY though, my computer is only a 550celeron and can't even handle playing the larger size songs (where im nowhere NEAR mind you) but its a piss-off. but on the flipside reason if sorta funny, cuz it starts to play and when the song gets like 6/7 boards working, it stops and prompts me my computer is too slow for the playing song, lol. Right now im working on getting drum sounds down, what sounds good, what sounds bad, ect.. At the same time working on a VERY crude, basic, simple, break beat. I will for SURE post it when im done, or even get something worth hearing!

Which reminds me this thread has gone on LONG enough, and im missing some valuable REASON! time.. Keep ya posted :)

Myles, ya Reason is pretty sick. I have the tutorial video if you want it. I also have the manual in .pdf format if you require it.

I love reason! I got hooked in it since christmas, and now i tend to get alot less studying done. You have 2.0 or the first one?

2.0 of course...but seriously...I need some good bass drum samples. Trying to make a hip-hop beat is difficult with the drums that I have.

You just have to tweak em right, add some effects to your red rum thing and you can get some decent sounding stuff. Just takes alot of messing around and figuring out what all the knobs and stuff do. Or you could always just find a good sounds that you like on any other track and rip it off ;) That works too
