Hybrid!!!!!!!!
I just saw these guys at Aria in Montreal, and long story short, it was the best show I've ever seen at the best venue I've ever been to. For one, I wish something like Aria existed in Vancouver, the place is absolutely amazing. Open from 2am - 10am on Fridays and Saturdays, with a lighting and sound system that is a clubber's wet dream.
As for Hybrid themselves, I have never seen a better set. They played about 55% breaks and 45% banging prog, and while the prog was obviously absolutely tops, I can't stop raving about how fucking good the breaks were. Absolutely sickening, the amount of killer, EVIL basslines I heard, and the amazing, complex production of the sick breakbeats, MMMMMMM! We're talking 5 hours of mixing so flawless that half the time I didn't even know when the transition was, and I'm a trainspotting DJ-ho like no other. Someone, anyone, NEEDS to bring these guys to Van, they will absolutely tear the roof off.

i was SO disappointed about this. JUST when i come home to van for reading break, hybrid goes to aria! i prefer stereo over aria...the crowd there is usually better, but aria is great too! i have yet to go to sona. the afterhours in montreal are definitely amazing!

Hey Sean!.. I heard from my buddy that hybrids supposed to be coming down here in less than a month.. so when/if they come I'll let yah know..
he said they were supposed to be here on Friday and I got all stoked about it, then calls me and is like oh.. not this weekend.. I haven't found this concert listed anywhere but he usually doesn't BS, for his sake, he'd better not be BSing otherwise it's a fist in his mouth..
