The Konspiracy Group: February 2003 Newsletter

'Tis an interesting time we're living in right now, hopefully that was
one of you out there this past weekend in the crowds. Here's to a year of change, eh?

Before we go deep into individual activities, let us remind you to
check out http://www.thekonspiracygroup.com. Completely redesigned since last time we sent out a newsletter, we think you'll be impressed with and enjoy the recent changes.

SINSEER:
http://www.thekonspiracygroup.com/sinseer.html

The L.A lovestepper has been more than just a tad busy as of late with
The release of her latest mix CD, 'Divine Huntress.' A pretty slick mix of slamming drum and bass that rolls harder than a Mack 10 truck, it's
been getting props from cats all over the world and can be downloaded in
low-fi mp3 form at

http://www.nwdnb.bc.ca/konspiracygro...e_huntress.mp3

Proper CD versions can be obtained from the Konspiracy Group.

A multi-talented DJ, Sinseer recently made her debut in the deep house
Arena as well. Look for a mix CD on that tip being added to her arsenal at some point in the very near future.

We're currently booking dates for Sinseer on the west coast of North
America.

QZEN: http://www.thekonspiracygroup.com/qzen.html

Groundscore lady and our resident teal boot rocker, Qzen continues to
Shock San Francisco on the Love Step tip like you wouldn't believe. A fresh mix CD is on its way any day now from the other half of the Mirror Minded partnership!

Co-founder of San Francisco's legendary Eklektic club night, Qzen has
Been very busy with its re-launching, Feb 28th at Asia SF, with DJs Sage, Rando, Ivry, and the infamous MC Duh. Keep your ear to the ground for more info on future Eklektic events, not to be missed if you're in the Bay Area!

Qzen will tentatively be in the Pacific Northwest in April. Dates are going fast with stops in Vancouver and Victoria in the pipeline.

KUMA : http://www.thekonspiracygroup.com/kuma.html

The grumpy old man and owner/founder of the Konspiracy has come out of
hiding recently. Quoted in the December 2002 issue of XLR8R magazine¹s
"Best of the Year" feature, everyone's favorite 'fuzzy dub terrorist' seems to be getting ready for some big tings. Look for content from Kuma in forthcoming issues of Rinse Magazine (http://www.rinsemag.com) and Capital Magazine (http://www.capitalmag.com).

Three CDs are on the bill:
"The Light Pours Out Of Me." A drum and bass thing.
"Haight and Fillmore" A downtempo thing.
"Thunder Perfect Dub" A dub and dancehall joint perfect for shaking up all soundbwoy.

Look for a review of Kuma's most recent mix CD, "Your Personal
Blackmail" in the forthcoming issue of Capital Magazine. Available across North America very soon from very nice people.

For more studio info, check the Gunshae update.

Kuma looks to be up and down the west coast of North America in the next few months. Also watch out for the Tenth birthday celebrations of Vancouver electroniculturists, Team Lounge. http://www.teamlounge.com

GUNSHAE:
http://www.thekonspiracygroup.com/gunshae.html

The debut live performance from the Konspiracy Group's flagship live act in January was a highly successful affair, so much in fact that they're going to do it again. And again. And again.

Look for a possible live incursion at the Team Lounge birthday party, "We Are Ten.", March 15th in Vancouver. A second live show is also in the works, March 27th at Vancouver's Sugar Refinery with the esteemed gentlemen from the A/V Lodge collective.

Recordings for Gunshae's debut album are almost complete. Track titles For the currently untitled work include "Mobius Strip" and "My Broken Heart." Look for it to be released this summer.

Being the ornery sods that they are, Gunshae are also going to be Farming out the album for remixes. With the only pre-requisite being the need for beats, rumored remixers include London dub-house maestro, Mothboy and an un-named U.S drum and bass icon. More on this as it comes.

Gunshae will also be remixing Vancouver metal icons, Three Inches Of
Blood.

ILL-ESHA:

Now, a lot of you have been asking where the Konspiracy diva is. Well, she's around but she's been on studio lockdown for the past few months with her partner. The results of this hermitage look to be revealed in about a month¹s time in Miami at the Winter Music Conference. Watch out as these look to be some fierce tracks for the 2003. No doubt.

The tune “Social Skillz” that Ill-esha did with Datcyde is featured on DJ Dara's new mix CD on Breakbeat Science, Exercise 01. Cop that shit,
Quick style.
