depends which artist and what length of time you're listening to it for.
i love drill... most of the drum lines i put together end up with a little skittery drillness in them, it makes your ears work a little harder. that said, if you've gotta work too hard to listen to it, it gets tiresome. i love me some Snares, but i end up skipping him most of the time when he comes up on my playlist. Venetian Snares does not equal casual listening, but that's part of the appeal i guess. every once in a while you need to hear I'LL MURDER YOUR YOUNG STYLE LIKE JONBENET RAMSEY BWWWOOOMMMFFFFRARA RA RRRRWAMP WAMP WAMMMPPRRARRRR eeeeeeeBIISHH
as for Squarepusher, i could listen to him all day. in fact, i often do. the only fault i can find with him was voiced quite well by nate a while back in a sentence that went along the lines of "jesus fuck man, just pick a time signature and stay on it for a second". the inner beatmatch tick that you develop from spinning goes absolutely apeshit when listening to drill n bass. it's almost painful sometimes.
also, the audio geek community has Come On My Selector to thank for being the best sub workout in history.
ramble ramble... meh. sleep time.
