I Miss Biggie

I really wish he was still alive and kickin rhymes. I loved him since his first album came out, but everytime i hear a track by him I just have that much more respect for how fuckin dope he was. I just wish he was still hear to create new material.

biggie has got to be one of the best rappers of all time.

ready to die was definetly the most solid album... the albums after that he started to sound worn down... but damn ready to die, his rhymes were fuckin badass hardcore gangsta shit with some mad smooth flows.. and theres some phat fuckin beats in there too.

I too miss Biggie, but I miss Pac more. Anyways, I'm not impressesd with so many artists jacking Biggie. Next, Alicia, Ashanti and Jay-Z have all sampled Biggie. I know its part of hip-hop to sample, but ya. :soak:

My favourite line:

It was all a dream
I used to read Word Up magazine
Salt'n'Pepa and Heavy D up in the limousine
Hangin' pictures on my wall
Every Saturday Rap Attack, Mr. Magic, Marley Marl

matéo is a jewel in the roughmatéo is a jewel in the roughmatéo is a jewel in the roughmatéo is a jewel in the rough
He definatley was dope and I totaly agree with Martin Ready to Die was insane. Its funny how 4mula points out one of his verses and it is so Happy and kinda paints this happy picture.
Then you have Suicidal Thoughts which is totally the opposite but definateley paints some kind of picture. I guess it shows how versatile Biggie was. Apparently when he was recording Ready to die he would jsut show up and spit rhymes off his dome and puffy would record it amazed that this guy canc ome up with an entire album or more with out writing a thing down.

When I die, fuck it I wanna go to hell
Cause I'm a piece of shit, it ain't hard to fuckin' tell
It don't make sense, goin' to heaven wit the goodie-goodies
Dressed in white, I like black Tims and black hoodies
God will probably have me on some real strict shit
No sleepin' all day, no gettin my dick licked

Big was a landmark in hip hop.... he surfaced to a whole new popularity: Gangsta rap from New York.... people had been dealing with it since 89 from the West Coast... but it just wasn't to the flavor of "Kick in the Door"

I don't know if any of you noticed this... but BIG is basically responsible for *bling bling* rap as well.... this enormous black dude wearing armani suits and pimp hats soon created a whole fucking subgenre of hip hop

as for BIG vs. Pac... BIG slang crack on the fucking streets... Pac was a pussy kid disowned by any true west side claimers for years on end...

he was a fucking dancer for digital underground for christ's sake...

HA!
