but thats y u get ppl on ur buddy list n shit browse eachothers files with no lineup. or if its queued just leave it on heh none of the other program have even close 2 the selection of electronica that soulseek does |

soulseek's a great program to start up, queue up like 20 albums, and leave running for a week.
I haven't played with directconnect as much, but I've heard of some people getting some ultra rare stuff off there. Like uncompressed PCM recordings of records or CDs that have just come out a couple days ago. Oh.. you forgot my favorite, and argueably the best general purpose filesharing program. kazaa is dope
it doesnt really have much in the electronic music area though.... soulseek has a little bit more.. so does winmx, but both combined still will never match up to audiogalaxy or napster. nowadays if you wanna find uptodate full quality electronic mp3s, try looking for some ripping groups and share the info this way... hahaha :tounge1: |

Kazaa Lite is good. Kazaa alone -not good. hehe i was looking at da source -- it corrupts 43 ports in your comp!!?? Kazaa lite= only 12.. which is still not that good - but atleast it doesn't have all the annoying pop-ups and ads. And the "speed up" function is really useful.
Having said this... i still don't like these file sharing progs. Sure its good if you want to find this one song thats been buggin you.. but if i want a song.. i want the whole album and there is noway i'm gonna find the tracks on Kazaa and burn it as the album. Becuase the quality is not hte same so it turns out to be fucked up. I rather sweet FTP's. MCHammered'z is pretty tight... Can anyone share any other sweet FTP's with us?? :c-tard: R3SP3C7 |

DC++ FOR LIFE!!!!!
Been using it for over a year now. Prism : Thank you very very much for the hub list. For the past year I've only been accessing 1 hub (mind you, it's a good one). I can't seem to find it on that list though. :\ Must be because it's private or something... |

umm can anyone help me out, how do i configure kazaa lite to work at work! i mean it won't connect,and were using a fiber optic link, i mean would it that they are using some sorta security policy or a firewall, that block incoming packets from kazaa lites port!?!?

Another possible work around?
If you have HTTP access, i.e. when you can open Webpages, then you can use HTTP Port for Kazaa. I use Kazaa Lite (that's Kazaa without Spyware). Under Tools -> Options / Firewall you can set up the port for incoming connections. Set the checkbox "Use Port 80 as alternative" and write 80 in the textfield above. When you run Kazaa the first time you should have to be patient, cause it takes a lot of time to connect the first time. |
