Where can I find smooth Trance? Not hard Trance.

Is there a club, a party, that plays smoother sounding trance? Vocal, uplifting, euphoric, melodic, ibiza trance?

I can't find a party that has that type of music and usually when it says Trance, its Hard Trance.

Help me...

BTW... it is normally hard trance that is played due to the fact it is more upbeat and dancable.

The last party where they spun such music you are looking for was Slinky Planet in 2002.

I've listened some live sets from Johan Gielan, Ferry Corsten, Armin Van Buuren from clubs in europe and most of them are smooth trance... I enjoy them a lot... Hopefully I could find a clubs like those here.

I wish there was a club like that here as well and I'd be there most weekends chilling out to the tunes.

Until such a place opens I guess I'll just have to make do at home with my bar.

I constantly scour the newsgroups for live sets and pick up some CD's form Virgin. I listen to Trance, Dance, and Funky Disco House for hours every day so I have quite a collection myself.

BTW. Is Virgin the only store that sells import CD's? Cause most of them cost around the $30+ range and that's just too expensive.

I'll definitely check VIVA as soon as I have a free friday. I've been wanting to go to a club like that for years but never heard of one existed. Well I wasn't really looking hard enought 'til this year. Mostly relied on online trance radio stations for my smooth trance fix.

Until recently no such place existed, hehe, so don't worry you haven't been missing out. We've been running the night since October of last year and things are going great, we expect a very good summer, especially when they upgrade the goddamn monitors in there for the DJs =)

As one of the residents I stay very up to date on the trance and prog tips. If you were at Armin last week, about half the stuff he played is stuff that I also play (and the other half I can't get, which is why I don't play it too =P).

Heh, Dumonde have some good ones, the more recent releases are pretty bad thought IMO. Never Look Back is the last one they put out that's worth getting, and even then it's a bit of an antiquated sound IMO.
