the new years that just passed i was in london at the millenium dome... boy do the brits sure have it good out there... they got a train that runs right to the dome... and the train ran all night because of new years, and was free.. the dome was like a mile or half a mile wide... absolutely massive... they had 5 stages, each about the size of plaza... they had some carnival rides in the center, and bumper cars... like 6 bars, concessions and the whole works.. they had like 3 semi trucks filled with flats..... every type of music u can think of... groove armada brought in the new years on the main stage, was surprised that i heard alot of dated tracks like music is moving.. but the people there didn't know any different heh :)... they were all too drunk... but at new years they had huge amount of fire works fire out of the stage and all this crazy shit... the lasers were absolutely massive, they were able to fire across the whole dome, and they had like 10 of them... the had this huge tent for jungle/dnb ... it was so pimp, only problem is that it seems like the people out there just discovered horns and whistles, because at times thats all u could hear, imagine 40,000+ people, all with those long horns, and whistles, all drunk with no sense of beat .. ouch , as well as the overbearing bass which covered up alot of the mc vocals and percussion...anyways the dj's they had were amazing... Mickey Finn, Hype, grooverider, Mc GQ and tonnes more of great talent... main stage had mauro picotto & judge jules and tonnes of other dj's ... anyway, bottomline was, fucking awesome venue, fucking awesome dj's/mc's, but annoying crowd, and WAY WAY WAY too crowded....if only we could be so lucky to have an event like that here....
