HELP SAVE XFM's VELOCITY ELECTRONICA RADIO STATION..
Vancouver's XFM radio station, owned by Rogers Media this week announced plans to cancel the long running
Saturday night VELOCITY program hosted by George Maniatis. Running 10pm to 2am weekly, dedicated to delivering Electronic music and artists to the forefront with a mix of unreleased tracks, exclusive mixes and guest DJ sets. in 2001 VELOCITY became Vancouver's only dedicated commercial electronic radio program. With the radio station's powerful transmission range and online streaming it has become a staple to listeners across the province. the show sucks, and nice copy/paste btw
im not sure what they're talking about when they say exclusive live dj sets.. i listen to it every saturday night and i never hear any live dj sets.. instead, all the guy does is put in some cd you can buy from HMV and plays it for the last 2hrs of the show somebody bring back gspot.. please! john 2899131 |

any electronic music station in this city good or bad, people have to let themselves be heard. everyone should mail and support velocity regardless if they like the show or not. so what if the show is only on saturdays ( or is it???) between 10-2. u must voice your opinion so maybe one day we could have a full time electronic music station, like some other places in the world. i lisen every chance i can get and yes i have heard many quality sets, so i will definately let this mofugga know whats up!
