Cleaning Records

What do you guys use to clean your records. Some of mine have become dusty as fuck and i jsut don't feel right wiping them on my shirt or whatnot. Is there some cleaning agent that is applied by a sponge or somethign along those lines?

There's this stuff that Ryan got from Boomtown... I've seen it at Hipnotik too. It's called Gruv Glide... apparently it works fucking great! Costs about $50 though.

I use my parents old rocord brushes.
Water is fine, and some dj's soak their records in water so get off the sticker lables.

About this windex. What do you wipe it off with or clean inside the grooves? I wouldnt use papper towels or news paper cus the bits would get stuck in the groves

I swear by Gruv Glide. That shit removes all static too which prevents getting all the lint on em too.

Soap and water in the kitchen sink works really good too (heard it from an interview with John Kelly), but I'm not sure if it leaves a residue.

^The only problem with most things is that they don't have an anti-static shield or whatever you call it. The commercial record cleaning solutions do, which means cleaning your records less (provided you're not throwing them on the floor), which is better for the vinyl in the long run.

I heard there's also some kind of wipe u can buy that will repair most scratches on a record, anybody know anything about that?
my old room-mate said he used some one time and it worked, but he was a pathological liar so I dunno if that's true or not
