its mostly the same but it does depend on circumstances
if your like a top 40's dj at a club or something, then you gotta read everybody at the club, and you make them dance so that they drink so that they have a good time so that they call their freinds so that they spend to keep the owner and promoter happy. iff your moreof a specialist dj, say you only spin breaks, then you job is a little easyer and a little harder... then your being hired based off your mixed cd and you get hired to do that, but at the same time you can only really spin breaks because thats what expected of you, which is eassyer, but the crowd that you are playing for will tend to know about breaks and expect some damn good music, making you job a little bit harder, but in essence what you do is keep the people moving and shaking |

you're right but then its the promoters job to book the dj suitable to the atmosphere (so ya gotta do your research) and then yeah the selected dj will play a set thats right for the people so they have a good time the main purpose of the dj is to give a good time based on his or her idea of a good time... a musical mind is the weapon... |

the dj plays records. heh, no really, i think the dj has to read the crowd and build the energy in order to make people move. what track comes next should depend entirely upon what the crowd is reacting best to. mix it up and drop it down i guess.
