why is masterplan so expensive?
Pioneer CDJ-1000 rental for a week:
Long & McQuaid: $96 Masterplan: $740 I bought my entire set through masterplan and got a pretty good deal. Why the hell are their rentals so expensive. Not like i need a masterplan tech to come over and set the shit up.

official masterplan answer...
reservations for equipment, blah, blah, better maintained, etc.... heres the real deal. L&M ultimately wants you to buy the gear, through leasing, also they are a much larger operation and can simply rent the gear for cheaper. Particularly on a first come first serve basis. Masterplan charges what it does because it can get away with it. Bottom line...although you were overquoted i think...a cdj-1000 rents for 120 a day. and the weekly rate is 3 days....someone else can do the math cuz i dont feel like it.

ya he must of gave me a wrong number then because he said $740 clear as day.
L&M was saying that masterplan has rented from them before when they were low on gear and rented the stuff out for triple the price to promoters. Dont know if its true or not but the with the price diffrences its possible.

this is kinda random but its about masterplan...
masterplan scared me on the phone yesterday. i called them having some questions about an event they were doing..and i was asking for information... i dial the number.. ask for the guy and the guy who picked up wont shut up about how they dont take resumes and dont have job openings blah blah blah blah..he went on for like 5 mins about no phone interviews...it was really strange. after he stopped i went on my 5 mins of rambling and his last words were...."so you're not applying for a job?"... bahaha quite funny. when i found the guy i was looking for he talked in big big words which i did not understand at all..and i just hung up. I JUST WANTED A VISUAL IMAGE FOR THE DAMN SET UP DAMMIT! that was a really frustrating phone call. Last edited by bebu*funfun; Jul 23, 03 at 01:04 PM.

akeel.. i want the set up of the 2 main stages for rhythm nations ON PAPER..including measurments. i just wanted teh damn guy to fax me a copy..but i guess that was too hard....since he kept thinking i wanted a job :soak:
