i love the website... the aesthetic is totally NYC club kid! the bright colours, the avant-garde design, the parody of corporate america...
he's hardly a one-hit-wonder.. keoki takes a lot of flack but he's in part responsible for one of the greatest influences on the north american rave and club scene, the new york club kid era of the early 90's. don't bother seeing the new McCauly Culkin "party monster" flick but go to the source and see the documentary of the same name that it was based upon.. if you're like me it will make you desperate for a taste. keoki used to spin techno-trance at a balls-out wednesday night mash-up called disco 2000 at the limelight in new york where the ketamine and cocaine flowed freely. now he spins electroclash.. kind of sad. heh. i saw him spin out a couple months ago and asked him about it.. says he never wants to party anymore and only wants to "rock out." .. *shrug* hell, he's married. he still gets glammed up with all the makeup and crazy clothes, though |

super star dj keoki...... memories
he's a piece of dance music history respect to him for that. His music has been allove the board in the last few years. I Do reccommend the DjMIX.com compilation he realeased just before the Jealousy album dropped a year and a half ago. I love keoki to pieces but he's very much a cheeze ball to the max! got to love it! |

HA HA, or more like 1993/'94. Keoki is oldskool glam hype. I used to think he was cool... or whatever. He's played here before. The only time i saw him was like nine years ago at the LUX. The party was called SHALAMAR. I still have the flier for that too. Next.... P.S. I was almost a raver, and then i snapped outta it. |
