and apparently, the guy using them said they were "WAY BEHIND the competition"

^^ chris thats what ive always thought too! if the platter is completely metal, and if your hands are really dry, how the hell are you going to have a grip on it?

and noid, "way behind the competition" meaning the denon and pioneer cd decks are way better

hmm.. yeh i've heard some reviewers say they were all equally as good...i was just wondering how he thought they were behind the competition, like what aspects/responsiveness and other factors and how they compare to the denon and pioneer..... im gonna have to check them all out for myself... im planning on buyin 1 cd deck to add to my 1200's, can't wait

I've only played on the pioneers and i give 'em two thumbas up. But i'm really excited to check these out, main selling feature for me, is that fact you can play mp3s and save samples into memory. Something that i guess teh Denon decks do as well..
Should be intersting, too bad no stock until after xmas (at least what i heard here)

CDJ1000 all the way!

I have the CMX-3000 at home, which is just the dual CD model of the cdj1000, and damn is it ever nice.

i love the denons... way beter then the pioneer... i find the pioneer to be a little bit unresponsive sometimes... its just not as reliable,

plus denon invented cd players pretty much.... they are the people that raise the bar another notch

im personally looking forward to the new cd deck coming out from numark... a real sized record platter is used for cueing/scratching/all that jazz
