i miss jazz :(
now i'm off to go download some there's nothing like playing jazz live though! There's one song i'm thinking of in particular...i think its called "sing, sing, sing". got a nice long tom intro that totally sets the groove :kimmie: |

We play that in the SFU jazz band! Tis a fun song I also just joined a new band called "fat jazz" thats made up of mostly music teachers thats pretty damn good. Im having to work my arse off to keep up but im loving every bit of it :) Its looking like my first gig with them will be dec 11th, so if anyone is interested in checking it out ill make a post about it when it gets closer |

Check out metalwood. Brad Turner as well. Brad is in metalwood, but he has a lot of trio and quartet stuff as well.
I'm a HUGE jazz fan. Instrumental and vocal. I used to sing jazz all the time, but since I got out of highschool I haven't found anywhere to sing in. My little sis is the jazz musician in my house. She's going to Cap College for jazz studies. Plays the acoustic/double bass. I know they have a lot of jazz shows happening up there every week. -desiree |
