i started with hard house (before i ever went to a rave) then my sister brought me to a soundadvice party last year and boom! i was all over the breaks and jungle. haven't (willingly) listened to hard house or trance since. i do like funky house though.

^^ Actually, trance is very much for dancing. It's just especially good for tripping you out as well.

Heavy four-on-the-floor beat with offbeat hi hat, typical of house that trance borrowed is pretty characteristic of any dance music I've ever heard.

Now, maybe the latest TRANCE ANTHEMS 2003 is designed just to throw your hands up in the sky and revel at how incredibly high you happen to be and just stand there motionless "feeling" the music, but trance was formed out of a bunch of Italians wanting to dance but getting exhausted by the concept that harder = better.
