Let me see... now I am assuming that we have no budget so the sky's the limit so here goes... Oh and forgive me if some of these models are wrong as I know the equipment if I look at it!
- add two more tables, probably those Numark TTX's because I already have Technics -- this would allow me to have a 2x4 setup. - purchase two new mixers: either a Pioneer 600's or Allen and Heath Zone32 and the other being a scratch mixer IE: Technics, Vestax or maybe a Rane... - purchase a better speaker system for my decks. The one I have is pretty sick, but since I have no budget, why not. - purchase a computer system with a wicked soundcard and all the necessary software ideal for recording CD's/audio. ---- The computer is not for production... I just don't have a computer that will allow me to record sets! - purchase one or two CD decks... either the Pioneer 1000's or the new Numarks. - purchase Final Scratch to run on my laptop The price tag on all of that will probably be pretty hefty! |

rotary mixers audio processing wise create a way clearer warmer sound, a good example is comparing a DJM-600 to the 2016...the pioneer sounds "very processed" i can hear when a pioneer mixer is being used since it reproduces sounds in a distinct way, tinny highs, muddy low end. (not to say that its not a great mixer - i love it). but compared to a rane rotary its like the difference between an acura NSX and a aston martin vantage.

My set-up would have to be...
- 3 tech 1200 MK2's keepin it simple... don't know why just like the feel of them! - 2 Pioneer CDJ100's yet again simple but yet sweet! - Pioneer 600 mixer run it all smoothly - 3 ortophon DJs or Nightclubs with sure whitelables as backup! - Tech 1200 HP's love em! - ROLAND DS90 POWERED STUDIO MONITORS sooo Sick! - Roland V-Synth to add FX to my set!! Well i think that would do it! Cheers Cinto |
