I to enjoy speed garage, and actually, if you dig deep, there is a lot of new speed garage 12's coming out (2002, 2003) and the sound has evolved some, it isn't just all the same warping bouncy basslines anymore, I think the progression has actually been positive. Have a look at say,
www.juno.co.uk - and look in the 'garage' section and you'll see what I mean.. It isnt all that hard to find either as a lot of bigger labels and big uk garage artsists have gone back to that style and now produce old school speed garage from time to time.
