i really do. now there are a few rappers i enjoy, who's songs make me wanna go party. but honestly do you think there's anyone out there who has the effect on people like pac, biggie, eazy, big l.
now it's unfair for any rapper to be compared to them, but i tell u what, when i was around 14, and i got all eyez on me, i fuckin loved it and i felt like i could relate. and i'm not exactly blacky mcblackerson from compton. all 4 of those artists, i can tell you exactly what i was doing when i heard their songs the first time. but i'm hardly an expert, just some kid who USED to love rap. now it's kinda like meh, its aight. |

take jiggy hip hop for what it is...mass marketed music made for the consumption of urban white youth preaching about a manufactured "idealistic lifestyle". Case in point - this thread.
There's some great hip hop producers out there....but 9 times out of ten you can switch the rappers and it wont make a difference. Now, Public Enemy that was a great group. |
