Depression One of dance music's hottest, enigmatic and most chameleon-like producers, Junior Jack, unleashes one of this year's biggest debuts with his album, 'Trust It'. Junior Jack consolidates his position as one of the world's leading DJ/Producers with this massive funky, electro-tinged house music debut built on some of the wildest basslines around. Hotly anticipated Junior Jack does not disappoint, delivering with 'Trust It' a hugely entertaining spread of funky house sounds, electro, disco, latino percussive acid house and more, all topped off with a delicious b-line rocking polish. Fierce, fun, thumping and often flamboyant, Jack experiments with many different styles and sounds to create an explosive soundscape debut. Swooshy electro sounds, cuts-ups and a familiar sample (reminiscent of early Human League) resonate on the chunky atmospheric 80's inspired 'Da Hype' whilst 'Stupidisco' is a tongue-in-cheek homage to early 80's electronic disco, given the Jack cut and bounce filter treatment that's working so well right now. 'Roots' boasts a slamming jazz trumpet with filter breaks and rippling piano, while 'Alone' is reminiscent of early Chicago house records with its b-line spins. There is no escape from the current floorfilling anthems 'E-Samba' and the sound of the Humming b-line on the momentous 'Thrill Me’. There are many different shades to this album, which goes to prove that ‘Trust It’ is the ideal album if you want an unmissable snapshot of where dance music is right now.
