What do you think of this?

What do you think of my music construction?
The Beast of Revelation

This music is basically based on the end of the world. Not really happy I know, but beautiful to some extent.

That's way too beat-driven to represent the end of the world. Also it sounds too much like a cheesy 80's synth sound to be depressing or beautiful. (just my 2cents)

Hmmm. Interesting. I like the "nuke the site from orbit" sample a lot, and the drums are very well programmed. I think the drums could use a little less reverb airiness on the snare tho, maybe separate them some and bring them more to the front, but there's obviously a lot of work done on sequencing them. Is the pattern yours, or a sampled loop? Nice cuts, regardless.

The later parts, with the big arpeggiated synthline - nice work on the filter sequencing! Good stereo imaging too - it would definitely benefit from a complementary bassline though, even if not an in-your-face one, just a repetitive one or two bar sub-bass beefing up the drums a little.

What are you using for softsynths?

It's a good idea to think about who your audience is before even laying down your first notes - your drum programming and synths makes me think you're aiming for video games. I'm liking it, but I'm definitely not getting an "end of the world" vibe from it. :)

Basically i'm using Reason, NN-19 with a sample from my CS2x Synth. Then I program the melody line using either matrix or my brain.

yes I havent finished much of my latest album, i'm just letting people give me suggestions on what I need to do :smoke1:

I DO NOT WANT TO MAKE VIDEO GAME MUSIC. I want my music to be played loud; rediculasly loud at concerts, people jumping, slamming, moshing, ENERGY!
