Reverb : Tuning your listening luxury =)
Everyone try this when you listen to music now
If you think you're getting bad sound quality and what not, turn the reverb up a bit (or down) Enjoy If you can't figure out how to do it, I can only help you if you're a sound blaster live user |

and just an additional note
this works best with tracks mastered at VERY good sound quality but works well with 128kps tracks. You'll notice (headphone users in particular) that after hours of listening to loud music, you will take the headphones off and your ears will actually feel good and not ring |

yo when are we gonna do the jam buddy? hahaha i live literally 5 mins away from you now and yeah about the bathroom trick, hahaha i used to practice the violin in the bathroom to get that sound although technically its cheating since it is possible to get a beautiful sound with proper bow technique |

<-- sound nerd. :)
If you're a soundblaster user, one thing to watch out for is the sample rate. Soundblaster defaults to 44.1khz, which is unfortunately the sample rate of a CD. HOWEVER, 44.1khz is NOT the easist sample rate for the card to do, 48khz is much easier! Soundblasters actually run in 48khz natively, but when you set your card and players up to do 44.1k, you're forcing the card to downsample the audio, and lets just say the downsampling algorhythm isn't exactly awesome. er, yeah. Reverb is cool. Adding reverb to a finished recording sounds better only on certain frequency bands, IMHO... if you can find the "iZotrope OZONE" VST plugin, you'll definitely enjoy it. |
