House on the beat 94.5......
So i was coming home after playing soccer on monday night and i have the beat on.next thing i know their playing an armand van helden track. they also have house on thursday nights for the 6:00 traffic jam. tonight they play it too at 8 i think. pretty crazy if u ask me.

It's not every traffic jam, he'll mix some inside.
What's really wicked is every friday from about 6 on , they bring in guest DJ's that spin at VIVID that night like Perry Ferrel, Scumfrog, Donald Glaude ...etc and they do a full set on 94.5 . One of the few last techno radioshows in vancouver ( beyond 101.9 citr ) |

ya that armand van helen song doesn't get much respect on the beat though...even though it's like the best song on that station.I hate all the other ish they play.like honestly how much imagination does it take to make a song who's entire chorus consists of "hey girl I wanna take you home and uh" ..."hey girl...Iwanna take you home and uh..." " hey girl...I wanna take you home and uh..." "hey girl I wanna take you home and uh" (you guessed it)
I hate the rest of the music...the only reason I listen to it is because of the house that they occasionally play on the 6 o clock traffic jam and the pete tong thing thats on at 8 tonight. oh ya and usher...GO THROUGH PUBERTY BEFORE YOU BECOME A SINGER fuck -Josh |

i like to listen to essential selections
i've never told anyone that, i only listen to it when i'm alone...my friends would tease me if they knew any of you remember gspot? hah oh man i used to tape it...and the pepper skit...and the commercials 'it won't get you high, but at least it'll make you healthy!' 'i don't eat, i don't sleep, but i got the cleanest house on the street' |

i admire the beat a lot, took lots of guts to start a radio station up, and they've been doing great since the day they started. i have interests in radio broadcasting and stuff... they seem like great company to be working for.
i love how they have more electronic stuff on now.. even a track here or there. pete tong on saturday is mandatory for me as well. ummm.. the dj leanne set a few weeks ago KICKED ASS. wow.. she's awesome. but like all radio stations they do overplay stuff. i really dont wanna hear keisha chante again and again..blah i wanna kill the guy who has the heavy heavy accent... shoot dont remember his name. but he annoys the fuck outta me. the hang it/bang it dude...arghz..wuts his name. |

i used to tape it too, and i'd be so pissed when i'd listen to the tape the next day to hear 1/2 of the 2nd side was rich and troy bickering back and forth, or rich talking about himself... or maybe some hot girls that he saw that day. the commercials and pepper skit were so bad sometimes! i've still got a couple decent tapes kicking around though... like the hardhouse one i use for jogging! lol |

Yeah, I didn't listen to G Spot for that reason (and many other reasons...it was a very poorly run "radio show"). I remember when they had Andrew Spence (fka DJ Slim) on the show. I taped it and though it was one of the most incredible breaks sets I ever heard him play, Rich managed to gab over 80% of it!! Rich even bragged about how they had Legendary Breakbeat DJ Slim in the studio and wouldn't even let us hear him! I was especially mad that G Spot was responsible for kicking Taxi Radio and the Underground Rescue Channel off the air (they were on the same station). Taxi was run by Leanne and Little T, Underground by DJ Lace, and they were far FAR better than G Spot. Even the odd times they were talking was amusing. I say bring THESE shows back!!! |
