Aphex Twin

this guy makes some crazy wicked music
i dont think i could classify his stuff since he's done so much
some is trippy electronica... others are slow mellow stuff... and others are just random weird stuff

i love to listen to his stuff alot on shrooms... some is just amazing
some good ones to trip out on are

come to daddy (dark scary... but wicked)
IZ-US (one of my favorites)
pulsewidth
54 cymru beats (cracked out...yet dope)
windowlicker (hella tripped out... i love it)
fingerbib (bouncy happy fun running in a field of dasies stuff)
alberto balsalm
pac man (techno remix) just plain fucked haha

Séguin will become famous soon enough
He's classified as Ambient, IDM, and Expiramental/Leftfield. Anyone who puts a microphone in a blender durring a live show, and cruises around town in a fuckin Tank deserves the title "Leftfield". Richard James = GENIUS (IMO)

Ack! Not another Aphex Twin gush thread. It's bad enough I see this all the time at Discogs.

Er, I mean, love the tunes:

Shottkey 7th Path
Come As You Mean To Go On
On
Disc1Track3 of SAWII.

And must I brag that I saw him live at the place formerly known as The Rage way back in '97? Yes. Yes, I must.

SAW 1 was about as normal as he ever got, and which was mainly original sounding techno beats with ambient textures. It seemed like once he made I Care... that things took a turn for the eccentric.

In my opinion, Richard D. James produces about 1 song in 10 that's worth listening to, and these tend to be pretty cool and creative. The other 9 out of 10 are utter tripe, the musical equivilent of gutting a horse and then hanging an entire town with its entrails.
