I'd suggest either Tom Lee on Granville or Long&McQuade (also on Granville). You can get them online from ZZounds or Musician's Friend, but customs will tack on a large sum when they come over the border. :/

You won't find them that cheaply - they're inexpensive to begin with, so at best I bet you'll see $20 difference in price at different places. Remember that most music stores will match prices...

Those are still from the States; customs will tack on between 10% and 40% depending on the day of the week, phase of the moon, venus being in the house of mars, etc. In my experience, it's never cheaper to buy something from the US that you can already get in Canada. Shipping and customs fees will drive the actual price up... for instance, that MPC that I'm selling in this forum, I got a great deal on it, but when it arrived at my door, I had to put another $250 on my credit card just to get it into the house. :(

eBay is awesome for stuff that's rare or hard to find, but for commodity stuff, stick to local as much as possible - it'll save you money in the long run. For eBay, I tend to stick 100% to http://ebay.ca these days - less stuff on there, but way easier shipping costs.

Also, places like Tom Lee and L&M will let you finance the purchase ($50/month for ten months, or something). Having a good credit rating with a music store never hurt anyone. ;)

That gives me an idea. I have bought a synth from Tom Lee's went on there payment plan. Maybe I should go back there and see if they can give me some more gear. :D
