Tiësto - Adagio For Strings
Quality track, remix rather of an old William Orbit classical piece of music now released under Tiësto's own name. It crosses the boundaries between trance and classical music. In an interview Tiesto mentioned it's one of his dreams to play with an orchestra but he doesn't have enough time make it come true...It also puts Corsten's effort to shame.

why bother playing with an orchestra???? are ya kiddin me, can you imagine the power and ahhhhh of a fulll on orchestra and the best trance guy around, that would be amazing, it would be a dying wish for myself, to play with a full set and range of instruments.........amazing, I tell ya, and adagio for strings, and tiesto have always sound similar to me........honestly the reason that tiesto year in and out is up there so high in the world rankings is that he is so 'musical', his trance doesn't get you down, it is really kind of an inspirational sound for the most part....... and for those of you that have never picked up any William Orbit, .......it would probably be a very wise investment, one of the best producers in contemporary history, behind many many mainstream artists.....and amazing to listen to in the right environment, ..........take a pill and listen to that with someone you want to fall in love with.........................it just might happen. :)p

Using a full orchestra (not sampled like Hybrid does it) would be very amazing to see. Heck, how many live instruments does Herbert or Groove Armada use and their tunes sound much more vibrant than many standard EDM tracks.
Heck again. Look at what a full orchestra did for Metallica songs. |

Very nice track.
I wouldn't say it puts Corsten's efforts to shame. Corsten's remix is a number of years old during a time when trance was in a completely different era. Both renditions are fantastic, they are just two different stylistic approaches. |

I remember this.
The original classical piece is William Barber's - Adagio For Strings, then William Orbit did a remix that had a breakdown going into the original classical track. Came out in 2000 or 01 i think. no one ask me why i know this. |

PS: S&M was one of the most well recorded live pieces of music I have heard. Lets see if people (engineers and producers) follow suit. |
