Prodigy has a sad history of having all their hooks heavily ripped off. AFAIK, they were the first to use:

I actually have a whole bunch of MODs and Demos from the middle-school era (circa 95-97) when Scream Tracker 3 and Fasttracker II were really big in the MOD/Demo scene. A lot of KFMF (Kosmic Free Music Foundation) stuff... if you were around back then, it was pretty likely you knew at least one or two names with these guys (based out of Mass. I think...). Ah the early days of music filesharing.

I'll post some of my favourite tracks from those days as they come to me.... But there was some rocking trance around there.
