My understanding is that bassline house is a new style of garage, darker, kinda techy and not confined to the same format as classic speed garage. (no gunshots, played out rasta samples or overzealous build-ups=) ...and the tracks are stuctured a bit differently as well.) There are also producers that are writing new speed garage tracks in the classic style and to me the difference is quite pronounced.
