I've heard they've gone downhill.

Liam Gallagher has worked with Chemical Brothers before (Setting Sun), so it'd be cool if he did some collaboration.

It's too bad though. Fat of The Land was a big disappointment. Firestarter being released far sooner, Breathe was good, Naryann was alright, all in all I think the CD was about 50/50... definately not on par with Prodigy Experience and thoroughly below the mark compared to Jilted Generation.

Hopefully they've moved away from being the Maxim & Keith Screaming In The Mic Show and have worked at being a showcase of Liam Howlett's music once again.

We can only hope. I'll listen to this CD but I'll reserve as to whether or not I'm going to buy it. As I say, all rumour seems to point to Suck.

I'm not saying I won't give it a shot. I'm a big fan of Prodigy, have been ever since 1995. But that's not to say that I haven't heard that they've gone severely downhill in the last few years.

This album is supremely anticipated though. As I said, Fat of The Land was already a slide down as far as I see it. If they keep with that trend, I'm going to be severely disappointed with this album.

But that's not to say that I don't expect it to be a good album.

I'm just the messenger.

i definately agree.. prodigy post-jilted generation is just crap. the band became more focussed on buidling a cult of personality rather than creating great music.. ridiculous lyrics and rock star attitudes abounded.. oh dear.

I wouldn't say it was crap. Firestarter was great when it got released the first time (I spent god knows how long looking for that track... I finally found it about three months before FotL came out).

And the stuff where they stopped focusing on the "show" and focused more on the music (Narayan, Funky shit, Climbatize) was really really good.

I say, all the musical talent of Prodigy belongs to Liam Howlett. It was when it became the Keith Flint/Maxim show that things just went downhill.

Personally I also liked FotL. One of my fave CD's... until my friend stepped on it. The new one I can't wait to hear. :trippin:
