i definately agree.. prodigy post-jilted generation is just crap. the band became more focussed on buidling a cult of personality rather than creating great music.. ridiculous lyrics and rock star attitudes abounded.. oh dear.

I wouldn't say it was crap. Firestarter was great when it got released the first time (I spent god knows how long looking for that track... I finally found it about three months before FotL came out).
And the stuff where they stopped focusing on the "show" and focused more on the music (Narayan, Funky shit, Climbatize) was really really good. I say, all the musical talent of Prodigy belongs to Liam Howlett. It was when it became the Keith Flint/Maxim show that things just went downhill. |
