London-style acid techno. Geezer, Liberators, D.A.V.E. the Drummer, etc.
I figure they have so far the best "song structure" I've heard in electronic music - build, build, build, build, build, build, build BUILD BUILD DROP! build build build build DROP! break, break, break, DROP! build build outtro. I foresee the future of techno being a regenesis of the acid techno style, but a large-scale change of sounds - much like grunge rock did for hair metal. Same style, same song structure, new sounds with more angst. |
