while there are many great cover songs out there, there are an equal amount of shit covers.. where they shouldn't have even attempted
(they're usually by pop artists too)

so list em

yeah, britney should not have even tried to fuck with joan jett's track. not cool.

can't think of anything at this exact moment, but i'm sure i can think of some bad covers later. ugh. too many out there.

All the stuff Tom Jones did with the Cardigans have a so-bad-it's-good quality to it (My personal favourite would be Burning Down The House).

I do have to say that Madonna's American Pie was not only bad, it was tasteless.
