Dj help with vinyl
Stupid question, but is there any reason why I should keep my records in the paper sleeves they come in, the ones inside the record cover.
I find them annoying at times when I need to take my vinyl out of the cover or put it back. I have been throwing them away all the time, but there must be a reason why the labels put them in. some input for tha newbie please. |

make sure ur keeping ur rekkids upright, dont let them slant too much cuz it'll slowly bend.. keep away from heat, sun, and the sleeves help from preventing scratching the rekkids..make sure u keep ur nails trimmed as i've found sometimes u'll be putting ur rekkids away and you'll accidentally scrape them... keeping nails trimmed also help for other reasons haha...

depends how anal you want to be. most of my wax is in the covers in plastic bags but I've got alot of collecters pieces and I like my collection to look all pretty like.
if you want your vinyl to last take care of it thats the bottom line |

i don't mind the white sleeves.... it's the fucking plastic ones that drive me nuts (the plastic inner sleeves that is, not the outer ones). The best inner sleeves are the paper ones with the plastic on the inside... nice & bsmooth on the vinyl and don't get all bunched up & wrinkled
