enh, i would disagree with that. simply because cd's are able to hold more time does not mean that should be the ONLY medium you have for a mix. remember when the max was 74? i can't even begin to count the number of ~75 minute FUCKING ASS mix cd's i have listened to.

look at lots of non-electronic albums, most don't surpass 50 minutes, yet they are wonderfully creative.

length is irrelevant to a good mix. track selection is relevant. end of story. shutup and take a listen.

and one more thing, techno is on a completely different level than speed garage. its like sex, and....incest. one is nice, enjoyable, energetic, and leaves you tired, but wanting more. the other is slightly repulsive, you'll settle for it but it wouldn't be your first choice.

sorry what i meant to say was....

with techno you mix in faster, and when its on 3 turntables you can go through lots of records fast. lots of mixing involved.

I'd choose Julian Liberator playing banging techno for 15 minutes over 1.5 hours of Trance ANY day.

And I _LOVE_ trance.

Techno gives the DJ a lot more opportunity to play around with shit I've found. I haven't heard this mix yet, so I can't comment on it specifically, but 30 minutes of techno can be pretty mind-blowing.

im tired of spinning trance.. there's not much i can do with it.

i notice i can do more things, make mixes longer and better with techno.

cant do that with trance.. i can see myself grabbing another deck soon and and learning to spin with 3. if i get booked for another party.. i want to be booked for techno and if it happens.. then i'll be able to play a fantastic set with 2 decks.

this mix is pretty much me fucking around, trying to hold down mixes and learn my techno. nothing more!

but dont worry folks.. i will always love gay wank trance.. the stuff im trying to produce will blow your socks off. I have it in my head, just need to put it into the speakers.
